Established in 2006 by mother and daughter team Hilary McMurray and Shelley Martin, 4Beauty Group is a leading manufacturer and exporter of beauty products to domestic and international markets.

Our expanding portfolio of beauty brands includes; the award-winning professional tanning range He-Shi, the highly popular retail tanning brand Tantastic and innovative skincare range, Skinician.

Consumers access our products through some of the world’s best known beauty retailers, as well as thousands of professional beauty salons, all of whom are serviced by a network of top flight distributors and supported by a dedicated sales team throughout the UK and Ireland.  

Today, our brands are distributed in a number of international countries including; France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Australia and UAE.

With a firm commitment on product innovation and focus on expansion into international markets, we are fast becoming market leaders in self tanning and beauty on a truly global scale.



In 1997, entrepreneur Hilary McMurray established a tanning focused salon distribution business in her home that quickly grew and diversified into a number of other beauty sectors.

With the aid of daughter Shelley in the role of Business Development Director, 2004 saw the launch of He-Shi to its domestic Irish market, and there followed a remarkable success story which has seen the award winning tanning range become a market leader and internationally recognised brand name.

The pair founded 4Beauty Group in 2006 and would soon manufacture and export worldwide, adding Tantastic and more recently, SKINICIAN to roster of brands.

In 2013, He-Shi was launched in French pharmacy chain, Parashop, where it soon became its No.1 Self Tanning brand.  This was followed by similar success throughout Europe in countries such as Switzerland, where He-Shi has become the top selling tanning brand in over 200 salons, and in Germany where the brand has appeared on the QVC shopping channel.


The business has also continued to grow throughout the UK and Ireland, building upon strong relationships with large retailers and in 2014 He-Shi become the No.1 selling tanning brand in Harvey Nichols - a position it holds currently.  More recently, 4Beauty Group has developed partnerships with a number of household names such as Boots and Superdrug.


4Beauty Group’s commitment to developing success through innovation and identifying the needs of an evolving beauty market has seen a refresh He-Shi’s brand identity in 2014 and a striking redefinition of Tantastic in 2016.
